Description
IBM Langflow OSS 1.0.0 through 1.10.0 voice mode contains improper shared-state handling that allows reuse of API clients across tenant boundaries. An authenticated attacker can manipulate cache state to cause requests from other users to be processed using incorrect upstream API credentials, leading to cross-tenant billing and accountability misattribution.
Description quoted from the NVD record.
Who is affected
Langflow (also called IBM Langflow OSS) is a tool for building apps that use AI language models. This flaw affects versions 1.0.0 through 1.10.0, in the voice mode feature. When several users or groups share one Langflow setup, someone who already has a login could tamper with stored information the product reuses between users. Requests from other users could then be sent to outside services using the wrong account keys. Usage could be billed to the wrong account, and actions could be blamed on the wrong party. This flaw is rated Critical.
What to do
- If your organization installed Langflow and runs it yourselves, the person who looks after it should check which version is in use and whether the voice mode feature is used.
- Versions 1.0.0 through 1.10.0 have this flaw. No fixed version is named for this flaw yet, so check the vendor advisory linked on this page for a fixed release. Install it as soon as it is available.
- If an IT provider or vendor runs Langflow for your organization, send them this advisory and ask when the update will be done.
