Description
IBM Langflow OSS 1.0.0 through 1.9.6 could allow unauthenticated attackers to access protected MCP project resources and execute MCP operations due to improper authorization enforcement in the Streamable MCP transport endpoint.
Description quoted from the NVD record.
Who is affected
Langflow (also called IBM Langflow OSS) is a tool for building apps that use AI language models. This flaw affects versions 1.0.0 through 1.9.6. The problem is in the connection feature that lets other AI tools link to your Langflow projects (known as MCP). Because this feature does not properly check who is allowed in, an attacker who has not logged in could reach protected project resources and run operations through it. If your organization uses one of these versions, you are affected. This flaw is rated Critical.
What to do
- If someone in your organization installed and runs Langflow, that person should check which version is in use. Versions 1.0.0 through 1.9.6 are affected.
- No fixed version is named for this flaw yet, so check the vendor advisory linked on this page for a fixed release and install it as soon as one is available.
- If an IT provider or vendor runs Langflow for your organization, send them this advisory and ask when the update will be done.
