Description
IBM Langflow OSS 1.0.0 through 1.10.3 could allow a remote authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary code due to improper validation of Python code during AST-based security scanning.
Description quoted from the NVD record.
Who is affected
Langflow (also called IBM Langflow OSS) is a tool for building apps that use AI language models. This flaw affects versions 1.0.0 through 1.10.3. The problem is in the security scan Langflow uses to check Python code (instructions written in a programming language): the scan does not check that code properly. An attacker who has a login to your Langflow and can reach it over a network could use this to run any code they choose. This flaw is rated High.
What to do
- If you or someone in your organization installed and runs Langflow, that person should check which version is in use. Versions 1.0.0 through 1.10.3 are affected.
- No fixed version is named for this flaw yet, so check the vendor advisory linked on this page for a fixed release and install it as soon as one is available.
- If an IT provider or vendor runs Langflow for your organization, send them this advisory and ask when the update will be done.
