Description
IBM Langflow OSS 1.0.0 through 1.9.6 could allow a remote attacker to obtain unauthorized access to user accounts due to improper restriction of excessive authentication attempts.
Description quoted from the NVD record.
Who is affected
Langflow (also called IBM Langflow OSS) is a tool for building apps that use AI language models. This flaw affects versions 1.0.0 through 1.9.6. The login feature does not properly limit how many times someone can try to sign in, so an attacker can keep trying without being stopped. An attacker reaching your Langflow over a network could use this to get into user accounts without permission. This flaw is rated Critical.
What to do
- If someone in your organization installed or runs Langflow, that person should check which version you use. Any version from 1.0.0 through 1.9.6 is affected.
- No fixed version is named for this flaw yet, so check the vendor advisory linked on this page for a fixed release, and install it as soon as one is available.
- If an IT provider or vendor runs Langflow for your organization, send them this advisory and ask when the update will be done.
