Description
IBM Langflow OSS 1.0.0 through 1.11.5 could allow a remote authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary commands due to improper validation of command-line arguments in the MCP stdio server configuration.
Description quoted from the NVD record.
Who is affected
This flaw affects Langflow (also called IBM Langflow OSS), a tool for building apps that use AI language models. It affects versions 1.0.0 through 1.11.5. The problem is in the settings for adding MCP servers (a way to connect outside tools to Langflow), which do not properly check the instructions they are given. Someone who has a login to your Langflow and can reach it over a network could use this to run any commands they choose on the computer that hosts Langflow. This flaw is rated High.
What to do
- Find out who looks after Langflow in your organization. This could be the person who installed or runs it, or the IT provider or vendor who manages it for you.
- If you run Langflow yourself, check which version you have. Versions 1.0.0 through 1.11.5 are affected.
- No fixed version is named for this flaw yet, so check the vendor advisory linked on this page for a fixed release. Install it as soon as it is available.
- If an IT provider or vendor runs Langflow for your organization, send them this advisory and ask when the update will be done.
