Description

IBM Langflow OSS 1.0.0 through 1.11.5 could allow a remote authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary code due to an incomplete environment variable blocklist.

Description quoted from the NVD record.

Who is affected

Langflow (also called IBM Langflow OSS) is a tool for building apps that use AI language models. This flaw affects versions 1.0.0 through 1.11.5. A safety list meant to block certain sensitive system settings is incomplete. Because of this, an attacker who has a login to your Langflow and can reach it over a network could run any commands they choose on the computer where it runs. This flaw is rated High.

What to do

  1. If someone in your organization installed or runs Langflow, ask them to check which version is in use. Versions 1.0.0 through 1.11.5 have this flaw.
  2. No fixed version is named for this flaw yet, so check the vendor advisory linked on this page for a fixed release.
  3. When a fixed release is available, have the person who runs Langflow install it as soon as possible.
  4. If an IT provider or vendor runs Langflow for your organization, send them this advisory and ask when the update will be done.
