Description
IBM Langflow OSS 1.0.0 through 1.12.2 could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code due to improper neutralization of special elements used in an OS command.
Description quoted from the NVD record.
Who is affected
Langflow (also called IBM Langflow OSS) is a tool for building apps that use AI language models. This flaw affects versions 1.0.0 through 1.12.2. A part of the product does not properly clean up special characters before using them in commands sent to the computer's operating system. Because of this, an attacker could remotely run any code they choose on the computer running Langflow. This flaw is rated Critical.
What to do
- Find out whether your organization uses Langflow and who looks after it: the person who installed or runs it, or the IT provider or vendor who manages it for you.
- Have that person check which version is installed. Versions 1.0.0 through 1.12.2 are affected.
- No fixed version is named for this flaw yet, so check the vendor advisory linked on this page for a fixed release and install it as soon as one is available.
- If an IT provider or vendor runs Langflow for your organization, send them this advisory and ask when the update will be done.
